The curriculum of ASKA Childcare Center has been developed with input from a variety of sources and best practices. Our Creative Curriculum focuses on four major goals and objectives: Social/Emotional Development, Physical Development, Cognitive Development, and Language Development. Our teachers develop all lesson plans while taking into account the activities planned, the learning environment, and the individual needs of each child. Children learn that they are bright, capable, and ready for success in school.
Based on research we know that your child’s brain needs five things for optimal development. Our teachers incorporate instruction and activities addressing all five of these areas daily: Movement, Language, Critical Thinking, Sensory Engagement, Relationships and Social/Emotional Development. In using these objectives:
​Toodler & 2-Year Old Preschool Class
​
Toddler and Twos will learn about themselves and others, they will continue to improve both gross and fine motor skills, and communication. Implement activities through music, stories, outdoor play, circle time, and free play.
​3 & 4 -Year Old Preschool Class
​
Three and four years old will learn about sense of self, responsibility for self and others, gross and fine motor skills and communication as well. They will learn problem solving skills, become logical thinkers, as well as beginning to read and write.
5 - year old Class
​
Five years old will learn the basic skills necessary for a successful transition into kindergarten. Most children this age begin to develop greater independence, self-control, and creativity
Transitional Kindergarten Class (After School)
​
School age children (After School) will come to our Center where there are opportunities to reinforce learning from school, learn social skills and encourage good citizenship.
